Week 9

Today in lass we learn how to work with Word press for our web sites. Personally I like Wordpress better than Dream weaver, just because Wordpress is a plug and play type program, were Dream weaver is more coding. Steve showed us how to navigate through Word press and I made my own URL and my home page. later on I will add three more pages to complete.

Week 8

today in class we messed around with coding. We went on a web site called hour coding and on this website it has multiple examples on what you an do with coding. the first example i picked was gaming, where you create a floppy bird game and you can make it whatever you want by dragging the block and adding different factors in it.
The second example was another gaming code but in this game you control a person through different obstacles by using coding. example of the coding is " self.moveRight()" you put that in the box and the person on your screen would move right.

Week 6

Today in class we look at different websites, and see if they were legitimate. My web site was about sleeping aid pill, that you can purchase on the site. At first glance the website look legit, they had a address of the supplier, email, and other signs of a real website. But at second glance you can see some flaws. Like the customer reviews were very but the united states, makes me curios why someone for japan wold buy a sleeping pill from a place in salt lake city utah. That was a huge red flag that this website was not legit but a fake.

After, we talked about pod casting, and how it can be used in the classroom setting to help the students learn better. pod casting stands for "Personal on demand" where you can listen and watch videos on the go any where any time on any device. its a useful tool for teacher to use outside the classroom.
